April's Priorities

Public Schools are for Everyone

Excellent Schools Depend on Excellent Educators

Excellent Schools Depend on Excellent Educators

Every student in our public schools should feel safe, seen, and respected. Students should be at the center of every decision or policy that impacts our public schools. Our school buildings should be safe, and we should ensure that our facilities are maintained fairly. Students should have access to cutting edge opportunities in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities.

Highly trained professionals are the backbone and very foundation of our public schools. LCPS should recruit and work hard to retain the best professionals in the region. Providing competitive wages, creating a supportive and collaborative culture, and improving working conditions will foster an environment that best supports our students.

A Culture of Excellence

Engaged Families and Strong Communities

Engaged Families and Strong Communities

Loudoun County Public Schools have a culture of excellence: Niche.com ranked LCPS as the #4 Best School Districts in Virginia in 2023. Focusing on core principles to support academic excellence and improving communication and transparency can further strengthen and improve upon our district's culture of success.

Engaged Families and Strong Communities

Research shows that student outcomes improve when families and communities connect with schools in meaningful ways. Positive partnerships between families and educators support student development, learning, behavior, and health. Families of all students should be considered active participants in problem solving. We need to find ways to make citizen engagement easier and work towards overcoming community divides.
